Holistic Grooming: Cancellation, Late Arrival, Pick-Up & No-Show Policy
Grooming appointments are reserved specifically for your dog and require dedicated preparation, scheduling, and staffing. For welfare, safety, and emotional wellbeing reasons, A Bark Above Dog Training & Behaviour reserves the right to modify, pause, or discontinue a grooming session where required to protect the dog, staff, or operational flow.
Cancellations & Rescheduling

48+ hours’ notice: No cancellation fee applies.

24–48 hours’ notice: A 50% grooming fee applies.

Less than 24 hours’ notice or No-Show: The full grooming fee applies.
Refunds are not generally provided. Credits may be transferred to future appointments where applicable. Refunds may be considered only in exceptional circumstances (serious family emergency, animal emergency, or death) and require supporting evidence. Approval remains at the sole discretion of A Bark Above Dog Training & Behaviour.
Late Arrivals
- Arrivals over 15 minutes late may forfeit the appointment and be treated as a no-show.
- Sessions arrival <15 minutes late cannot be extended due to late arrival.
Pick-Up & Late Collection
- Dogs are groomed one at a time to maintain welfare and safety. We cannot provide extended holding or boarding between appointments.
- Late collections exceeding 10 minutes will incur a late pick-up fee of $15 per 10-minute period.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information regarding their dog’s:
- Health status, injuries, medical conditions, medications, and pain concerns
- Behavioural history, handling sensitivities, fear responses, or aggression
- Coat condition, matting, skin issues, or prior grooming challenges
Failure to disclose relevant information may impact the safety, duration, outcome, or continuation of the groom.
GENERAL TERMS & ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
- Participation in any A Bark Above service acknowledges the inherent risks associated with animal behaviour, shared environments, and training activities.
- Handlers remain responsible for their dog’s behaviour, control, and welfare at all times.
- Clients agree to follow all facilitator instructions, safety protocols, and site rules while participating in any service.
- All information provided by clients is declared correct to the best of their knowledge and ability.
- Policies are subject to review and update at the discretion of A Bark Above Dog Training & Behaviour.
- To the extent permitted by law, A Bark Above Dog Training & Behaviour is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in services.
By booking an appointment with A Bark Above Dog Training & Behaviour, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the Cancellation, Late Arrival & No-Show Policy outlined above. You authorise A Bark Above Dog Training & Behaviour to apply any applicable cancellation fees, no-show charges, package adjustments, or forfeitures in accordance with this policy. You understand that failure to comply with this policy may result in the loss of session credit or refusal of future bookings.
This policy forms part of your service agreement with A Bark Above Dog Training & Behaviour and is binding upon confirmation of booking.
