Attendance, Safety & Courtesy Policy
Our scent work sessions prioritise emotional safety, calm learning, and individual success.
Arrival & Parking
Please park in front of the barn facing east or along the house yard in line with our team vehicles. This ensures safe access and appropriate space for all attendees. Please note that there are currently no toilet facilities on site. We kindly ask that you plan accordingly.
Dogs on Lead, Separation & Interaction
- Dogs must remain on lead at all times.
- Dogs must remain separated and may only interact when directed by a trainer.
- Some dogs may have heightened sensitivity or big emotions. These boundaries protect every dog’s learning experience and emotional safety.
One-At-A-Time Learning & Human Space Respect
- Dogs work one at a time during scent rounds.
- You may occasionally be asked to step out of the learning space to support another dog’s success.
- Observers are welcome but must remain mindful of noise levels and movement, as these directly impact scent performance and emotional regulation.
Between Turns: Cars & Training Yards
Dogs may remain in cars or training yards between turns. Please remain respectful of space, safety, and other dogs at all times. Weather precautions are strongly recommended, including shade, cooling support, fresh water, and appropriate supervision. A Bark Above accepts no responsibility for any injury, illness, loss, damage, or death related to dogs left in vehicles. Responsibility remains solely with the handler.
