This class covers the skills necessary to pass the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen test. CGC is a 10-skill test that teaches good manners to dogs and responsible dog ownership to their owners. The class includes testing to earn the CGC title.
Class will cover basic cues like sit, lay-down, and leave-it. Additionally, cues to promote settling and engagement with handler, the use of toys/play, and learning about canine body language. This class is for any age dog who would benefit from learning or refreshing their basic Manners. This class is six weeks long, each class is about 45 minutes, and the cost is $175.
Leash Manners & Polite Greetings Class (Level 2) $145.00
Prerequisite: Leash Manners & Polite Greetings (Level 1).
This five-week class builds on the skills learned in Level 1, focusing on strengthening loose-leash walking and polite on-leash greetings in more distracting, urban environments. Each class is approximately 45 minutes, and the cost is $145.
Leash Manners and Polite Greetings Class (Level 1) $145.00
Leash Manners and Polite Greetings Class will focus on improving dog's loose leash walking skills and greeting people politely on leash. We will cover helpful equipment, pattern games, and improving engagement with the handler. This class is five weeks long, each class is about 45 minutes, and the cost is $145.
A flexible 4 or 6-week day school program for growing pups and busy families. We focus on building a well-rounded companion through structured learning and socialization. Your dog will gain confidence, learn manners, and practice key social skills in a fun, safe setting.

- Program Hours: School runs from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Extended Care: Extended pick-up and drop-off hours are available via our daycare service (additional fees apply).
- Owner Coaching: Includes bi-weekly group coaching sessions for owners on Thursday evenings (5:00-5:45 PM) to ensure at-home success.

Small Dog Social
Bring your small dog for a fun, safe social experience with other dogs, people, and new environments! This social is open to dogs of any age, as long as they meet our small-dog criteria.
To ensure a great fit for the group, please book a discovery call before attending so we can confirm your dog is comfortable in a dog-social setting.
Requirements:
• Dogs must be under 20 lbs
• Pre-approval via discovery call or current A Dog’s Tale clientele
• Friendly or dog-social temperament
Groups will be arranged based on size, age, and play style to keep all dogs feeling safe and confident.

Bring your teenage or adolescent dog to socialize with other dogs, people, and explore surfaces. This event is reserved for clients with dogs 4-24 months in age. Groups will be split based on age, size, and play preferences.
