For dogs over 5 months. Focus on obedience including wait at doors/gates, sit to greet a human, heel, loose leash walking, lie down, off, drop-it, coming when called from distractions and leave-it. Behavior problems addressed and written homework provided.
If you are looking for something fun to do with your dog, Circus Dog is a great option! Teach your dog how to roll over, get onto things, push barrels, and even learn to skateboard! There are so many tricks your dog can learn! Plus, you get to train with an actual circus performer!
Prerequisite: Dogs should have completed Obedience for Agility or 7 weeks of group obedience classes and 2 private agility lessons.
2 concurrent sessions of Agility 1 are required before moving into Agility II. After 7 weeks of class, if you wish to continue, you will just stay in that time slot and continue on with your training. Your introduction to Agility I class will become an Introduction to Agility II class after 14 weeks.
Continue your dog’s foundation in this exciting sport. This fun class will teach your dog to move through the agility obstacles in a successful manner. Each week we will introduce new concepts/obstacles that are necessary to have a confident, happy agility dog.
This class is for those who have had some experience in nosework. Your dog should already be on odor. We work all facets of nosework – containers, vehicles and different environments inside and out (weather permitting). This is a progressive class.
This is where your dog should begin its agility foundation education. This class is for people friendly, dog friendly dogs that would like to get started in the sport of agility. Students will learn to teach their dogs to sit, stay, come when called, and “focus” around the many distractions of an agility environment. This class will also introduce agility obstacles in a safe manner.
Raising a performance dog? This class teaches the fundamentals of relationship building, focus, crate games, retrieving, and body awareness. This class is not a substitute for our regular puppy kindergarten classes, but it will be an additional mental/physical stimulation class. For puppies under 9 months old.
Puppies 10 to 18 weeks. Focus on socialization, preventing aggression and preventing behavior problems. Pups are turned loose to play in a safe, structured environment. Behaviors taught include crate training, sit, lie down, loose leash walking, wait, coming when called and drop what’s in your mouth.
Dogs that are proficient in Basic II obedience/heeling. Follow the signs as they direct you from start to finish. Learn some challenging obedience moves along the way. This class will prepare you for fun competitions where your dog can earn an obedience title. Instructor: Joni Monnich
This class is for the somewhat experienced dog and handler. Your dog should be comfortable with full height equipment. Weave poles may be open or closed. The handler should have some prior knowledge of handling techniques including front and rear crosses. This class will focus on improving handler and dog performance.
