This 6 week course covers: - Understanding your dog, including how stress, diet, health issues and social development effect their behaviour. - How your dog's genetic background effects them and how to provide biological fulfillment. - Understanding canine body language. - Balancing physical and mental stimulation and calmness. - Teaching calmness. - How dogs learn. - How to be a good "dog parent" including setting up for success, reinforcing desired behaviours, dealing with undesireable behaviours, setting boundaries and how we can best communicate with out dogs using body language and verbals. - Proper leash handling so you can "lead the walk" when appropriate or allow your dog to enjoy a "Sniffer walk".
