At Bell Creek, we work with dogs and their owners to create real, lasting behavior change—through practical training, clear communication, and methods that fit into everyday life. Whether you’re looking for a well-behaved family companion or working toward success in dog sports, we provide the guidance and structure to help you and your dog thrive.
About Town takes your training beyond the classroom and into real life. Designed for teams with a strong foundation, this class helps your dog learn to stay calm, focused, and responsive in new environments. After the first session at Bell Creek, each week brings a new location—giving you the opportunity to practice skills where they matter most. It’s the perfect step for building confidence, reliability, and a dog you can take anywhere. Prerequisite: STAR Puppy, Good Dog 101, or instructor permission.
Take your puppy beyond the basics. For puppies under one year who have completed STAR Puppy or a similar program, this class is all about reliability and real-world success. We refine core behaviors, introduce higher-level distractions, and build your puppy’s ability to think, focus, and respond—even in challenging environments. Supervised playtime is included, with groups thoughtfully matched by size and temperament to encourage safe, appropriate social interaction.
Good Dog 101 is designed to help you create a dog you can truly live with and enjoy. Open to dogs ready for a group class environment, this program focuses on practical obedience and real-life skills—so your dog listens not just at home, but out in the world. You’ll build reliable behaviors like sit, down, stay, recall, settling, and loose leash walking, while also working on important everyday skills like drop it, nail trims, and grooming. It’s the ideal foundation for a well-mannered companion and a stepping stone toward advanced training like CGC, agility, rally, and obedience.
One-on-one training designed around your dog, your goals, and your schedule.
Private sessions are perfect if your dog isn’t ready for a group setting, your availability is limited, or you want to see faster, more focused progress. We tailor each session to your needs—whether that’s building obedience, improving behavior, or tackling specific challenges.
Held at Bell Creek, these sessions are best suited for one dog or two lower-energy dogs from the same household.
Requirements: Dogs must be current on vaccinations. Females in season are allowed with proper management.
Give your puppy the best possible start with our AKC STAR Puppy class—a six-week program designed to turn chaos into confidence. In weekly one-hour sessions, we’ll guide you through the basics every puppy needs, including sit, down, stay, recall, settling, and loose leash walking. We also tackle real-life puppy struggles like potty training, chewing, handling, and nail trims—so you feel prepared at home, not just in class. Your puppy will also get valuable, structured socialization time to build confidence and learn appropriate behavior around other dogs and people. At the end of the course, your puppy can be evaluated for the AKC STAR Puppy certification—setting the stage for future training, including advanced obedience or dog sports.
