It focuses on teaching pet dogs to find specific odors and alert their handlers to the location of the "hide". The dogs love it because: -Mental Stimulation: Sniffing is highly tiring; approximately 15 minutes of nose work is mentally equivalent to an hour of physical exercise. -Confidence Building: Because it encourages independent problem-solving, it helps nervous dogs become more confident in new environments. -Accessibility: It is one of the few sports suitable for puppies, senior dogs, and even blind or disabled dogs, as it relies on their natural scenting ability rather than physical prowess. The handlers love it because: -Reading Body Language: Handlers learn to identify "tells" that signify their dog has caught a scent, such as a change in tail carriage or head snaps. -Leash Management: Proper handling to avoid interfering with the dog's natural search pattern.
