This intermediate class is designed to help your dog become a well-mannered, confident companion. We'll work on the 10 skills required to pass the AKC's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test in a 6 week group class format. The CGC title is the standard, recognized marker, of a well-trained family dog. Whether your goal is to test for the official title or to simply have a dog with stellar public skills this class will teach you the tools you need!
If you are interested in testing for the AKC title, please let your trainer know on the first day of class. Your trainer can help you decide when your dog is ready and help you schedule the test.
6 week course + final test. Dogs must be over 5 months old and have mastery of basic obedience skills.

Are you ready to create your bond and set your new puppy up for a happy well-rounded life? This 6-week foundational course is designed to help you and your puppy grow together through relationship-based training, positive socialization, and a deeper understanding of canine needs and communication. Each week, we’ll cover key topics to guide you through your puppy's critical developmental windows. Topics include species-specific needs, house hold manners, managing jumping & mouthing, reading body language & cooperative handling, focused attention work, and basic cues such as sit, down, and coming when called.

Whether your are expecting a baby or already have kids and are trying navigate peaceful coexistence between them and your dog- this is the program for you! We will deep dive into safety, building positive relationships and helping the whole thing feel a bit more manageable. You will work one-on-one with one of our highly skilled trainers who is also a Certified Family Paws Educator and Dial Guide (both internationally recognized programs helping families with dogs).
In your follow up sessions you will learn the skills to meet your goals. Some sessions will be very training oriented and others may be more of a conversation as we continue to work through the layers of your case to refine the best course of treatment. Either way, you will leave with new-found knowledge and next steps.

Let us do the heavy lifting for you! Day Training offers a balance between doing all the work yourself or having us do it. We work with your dog at our facility for a one hour session a few times a week to build the skills they need and accelerate their learning. We provide video support and the optional check in in order to pass the baton so you can integrate what your dog has learned in your daily life.
