Good Dog Level 1 Group Class
Dogs have lived alongside us for thousands of years, but we can’t forget their roots...Dogs have lived alongside us for thousands of years, but we can’t forget their roots as curious scavengers. That’s why they still love hobbies like rummaging through the trash, sneaking food off the counter, pulling on leash, jumping up on guests, and chasing squirrels!
Just like children, dogs don’t come pre-programmed with good manners—they need teachers to guide them. That’s where our Good Dog Level 1 class comes in. Together, we’ll help your pup become the “goodest” boy or girl your family could wish for.
In this class, your dog will learn the foundations of polite behavior: sitting and staying when asked, settling calmly when needed, coming when called, and walking nicely on leash instead of dragging you around like a sled dog in a Christmas movie. We’ll also work on polite greetings without jumping, focusing on you even around distractions, and leaving tempting things behind when told to—yes, even if it’s the tastiest snack. Along the way, your pup will also get to play fetch and show off fun tricks that will prove to the neighbors that they really are the goodest dog in town.
Of course, training is a team effort! Just like parenting, consistency is key. While attending class each week is important, the real magic happens with practice at home. That’s why we’ve designed lessons to fit into short, five to ten minute training sessions you can easily work into your routine Monday through Friday. Commit just a few minutes a day, and you’ll be amazed at the progress your dog makes.
6 week class where we will work to build on each skill while adding more duration, distance,and distraction.
Professional trainer will coach you and give feedback to you on each exercise.
