Training Dogs With a Purpose

We are a veteran and family-owned business located in Woodlawn, TN that takes great pride in teaching people to speak the same language as their best friend.  We train and compete with our own dogs in a sport known as IGP.  

Why do our dogs and training separate themselves so much from everyone else?  We have been very fortunate to train, give training workshops and compete all over the world at the highest level.  Not only have we found success for ourselves, but our team has found great success as well.  Our dogs and training team have accounted for countless titles from the regional to world championship level.  Over the years we have become some of the most sought after trainers in the world for sport, PSDs, pet obedience and personal protection.  Our results are the reason we have been able to train dogs, other trainers, handlers and owners from all over the world.  What we have found over the years is that in order for your dogs to be successful there are three items needed, which are: clear communication, fairness and manipulation of the dog's environment.  The world would be a better place if all dog owners truly understood these simple concepts.  We have set out to take these methods and break them down so that all dog owners can live a better life with their K9 partners.  The most important thing for us is that your dog wants to obey and is not being forced to obey.

 

     How do we accomplish this task?  By conditioning your dog to understand three simple words….yes, good and no.  We teach your dog and you too literally speak the same language, teaching both the owner and the dog that life is black and white.  Life can never have any gray areas with a K9.  Every behavior is imprinted with motivation.  All dogs should be happy in their work.  The tools used are based on the dog's motivation level.  Tools (i.e., prong collar, slip lead, e-collar) are used only if needed and always used properly.  We then manipulate the dog's environment to make them successful in training.  Finally we increase the distractions and proof all the hard work that has been put in.

     What makes us different than anyone else?  Outside of proof of knowledge, proof of experience and proof of results, we truly want you to learn everything we know.  We want you to have the skills to continue training without us.  Everything we do is family and dog friendly.  Children are always welcome at our training sessions.  In order to be successful, your family must be on the same page.  If a part of the training is not understood, we can use our trained dogs to demonstrate and clarify a point.  The end state of our program is having a true relationship built upon trust with our K9 partners.  They work every day trying to make us happy.  We owe it to them to be the best owners we can.
