Criteria for membership:

- Be sponsored by an active member of FLX Dog Club
- Attend 1 Club Meeting prior to approval of membership. Meeting Dates are published on the FLX Dog calendar
As a member of the FLX Dog Club, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms, responsibilities, and expectations:
1. Code of Conduct
I agree to:
- Treat fellow members, guests, and staff with respect, kindness, and integrity.
- Use positive, humane, and ethical training and handling methods with all dogs.
- Keep my dog(s) under control and supervised at all times while on FLX Dog property and at club events.
- Ensure dogs are leashed or crated while on premises (cover crates for dogs with crate aggression).
- Ask permission before allowing dogs to greet one another or before petting another person’s dog.
- Communicate respectfully in person and online, especially in FLX Dog-affiliated spaces or social media.
- Avoid bringing female dogs in heat or any dog with infectious illness to the facility or events.
- Share any behavior concerns about my dog(s) in advance to help ensure a safe, supportive experience.
- Clean up after my dog(s) at all times and follow posted hygiene protocols (e.g., wipe crates, clean up potty accidents, use cleaning supplies provided).
Unsafe or disrespectful behavior may be reported to a club representative and, if needed, followed up by the Board. A Safe Conduct Report form is available at the club desk and online.
2. Dog Health & Safety
I confirm that:
- My dog(s) are current on all required vaccinations, including rabies, unless a veterinary exemption is provided.
- I will not bring any dog that is knowingly ill, injured, in heat, or contagious to club events or the facility.
- I accept full responsibility for the actions and behavior of my dog(s) at all times.
3. Facility Use
I agree to:
- Use all club equipment and property respectfully and only with permission from a club representative.
- Leave the facility clean, including crates and rings, and dispose of waste properly.
- Report damage, unsafe conditions, or concerns to club leadership promptly.
4. Participation & Volunteering
I understand that:
- The club often relies on volunteer participation to run events, maintain the facility, and grow the organization. I will make a good faith effort to contribute time, ideas, or assistance when possible.
- I have the right to attend club meetings to stay informed, contribute to discussions, and participate in decision-making. If I am not attending, I will review meeting minutes and stay engaged.
5. Waiver of Liability
I understand and agree that:
- Participation in dog-related activities carries inherent risk.
- I hold harmless the FLX Dog Club, its officers, members, and property owners from liability for any injury, loss, or damage to myself, my dog(s), or my property during any club activity or on club property.
- I accept full financial responsibility for any injury or damage caused by my dog(s) to others, their dogs, or property.
6. Media Release
I give permission for the FLX Dog to use photos or videos of me or my dog(s) taken during club activities for promotional purposes (e.g., website, social media, flyers).
7. Termination of Membership
I understand that:
- Membership may be suspended or revoked for violation of this agreement or club rules.
- Any complaints will be handled per the club’s bylaws and disciplinary procedures.
- An FLX Dog representative has the right to ask a member to leave the facility if their behavior undermines the club’s safety or values. A follow-up discussion will be conducted to resolve the matter.
