This series of four sessions provides a new flyball participant the fundamental skills needed to particpate in club practices. From game basics to Jumps and Recall, Ball Retrival and Box Turn, and how to work as a team. The sessions progress handler and dog through a logical sequence of smaller games to allow practice of fundamental skills at home. Once completed, participants may enroll as a drop-in to sessions to continue to develop skills.
This 4 session course is designed for handlers that are new to dog sports. Topics include: 1) Sports etiquette and safety, 2) Evaluation of confidence, drive and focus, 3)Motivation and Engagement, 4) Fetch, Recall, Fitness and Body Awareness. This course includes overview of a number of dog sports, and evaluation to determine dog aptitude and handler skill.

Spend some time practicing with your agility dog. An indoor course/equipment will be set up to allow practice on individual obstacles or practice handling through multiple obstacles.
Agility Practice Times will serve "Trialing/Getting Ready to Trial" teams. Enroll in these if you are already trialing, or have taken enough agility classes for your dog to navigate all the obstacles at full height safely.
If you want some suggestions on how to fix an issue, help will be available but remember this is not a class. It is a time to practice and have fun with your dog.
Expect at minimum two (2) 10 minute opportunities in the ring. Participants will rotate through a run order. Limited to 6 dog/handler teams.

Come practice with the FLX Flyball Dogs. The club meets most Tuesday evenings at our Phelps facility. Working drop-in spots are available for handlers with some flyball experience. Multi-dog discounts will apply during checkout. Helpers are always free! Come learn to box load, pass call, take stats - lots of jobs for non-handlers! Practice is also open to members of other Flyball clubs as a drop-in.
Rally Course will be set up based on participant skill level. A coach will be present to help explain the signs and answer questions or video for virtual rally titles. When part of a class series, coach focus and guidance will be provided first to class participants.
These courses are designed for the beginning dog to show basic sequencing and performance skills in agility.
The ultimate goal of this class is to prepare you for Agility Course Test 1 and Agility Course Test Jumpers 1 (ACT1, ACTJ1). We will video for virtual titles as dog and handler are ready.
Some participants may progress to ACT2 and ACTJ2 as skills develop. This course can be taken multiple times to build confidence and progress at your own pace.
Does your dog love to chase squirrels, rabbits, mice, or anything that moves? Dogs that love to chase will shine in this mini-workshop. This indoor mini-course tests your dog's interest in the sport while you gain all the information you need to participate in your first FCAT or CAT trial.
Your dog must be in good health and injury free to participate in this class.
Your dog has the basics of "sit", "down", and "stay". When you walk within 15 feet of people and dogs, your dog gives you reasonable focus (no lunging or barking at other dogs) ...so what's next? This 6-session class will refine your current sit, down, and stay at increasing distance and with stronger distraction. We will focuse on refining technical aspects of directional changes on leash. We will practice different methods of rewarding to motivate and encourage good habits in positioning and compliance.

Learn tricks such as "Fetch", "Sit Pretty", "Weave ", "Figure 8", "Peekaboo", "Shake Paw", and "Roll Over". The more tricks you train your dog, the faster your dog will learn new tricks! Build a better bond with your dog, The more tricks your dog knows, the easier it is to teach more tricks! This class focuses on more simple tricks to take your "sit", "down" and "come" to the next level. Prerequisite: We highly recommend participation in a basic obedience class and/or puppy class before jumping into Tricks and Games. This class will not teach engagement and motiviation, but will rather focus on how to elicit specific behaviors from your dog.
