This 4 session course is designed for handlers that are new to dog sports. Topics include: 1) Sports etiquette and safety, 2) Evaluation of confidence, drive and focus, 3)Motivation and Engagement, 4) Fetch, Recall, Fitness and Body Awareness. This course includes overview of a number of dog sports, and evaluation to determine dog aptitude and handler skill.
Tricks Training is fun for you and your dog! The class is designed for dogs of all ages and their humans who are looking for a fun, engaging way to bond with their pups!! Using positive reinforcement, you will learn how to teach your dog a variety of fun and useful tricks. We’ll start with fetch, spin, target, wobble board, Figure 8 and more! New tricks will be presented each week.
This is a great way to build confidence, focus, and engagement with your dog!! You’ll leave with new skills, both for you and your dog, to show off at home!
You will also have an opportunity to earn a Novice Tricks Dog title with the “Do More With Your Dog program.”
Prerequisite: We highly recommend participation in a basic obedience class and/or puppy class before jumping into Tricks and Games. Dog should have a reliable on-command “sit,” “down,” and “recall.”
This is not your average game of "Frisbee". Dog/Handler teams can participate and complete using "rollers" as well as catches in the air. Go for distance, accuracy, and speed with an number of techinques and games that will prepare you for a variety of competative disc sports. We will even explore combining agility and tricks with disc play.
This class is held indoors on a turf surface.
Discs will be available to try and purchase.
Dogs must have a good recall and ability to focus on chasing the disc.
A long-line can be used to help keep dogs focused and retuning to handler.
Dogs need not bring the disc back to you during this intro class.
Disc throwing techiques will be taught in this class.
Dogs will be required to remain in car or crate during portions of the class when not working.
Work with an experienced Dock Diving instructor to get your dog started with the sport. You and your dog will learn the basics of pool entry and exit and build confidence with each step toward full fledged jumping.
Rent the dock and pool to practice swimming or dock diving games. Available to club membes with a full or basic membership. When booking, select the START time for your rental. The booking will automatically be set to 60 minutes.
This series of four sessions provides a new flyball participant the fundamental skills needed to particpate in club practices. From game basics to Jumps and Recall, Ball Retrival and Box Turn, and how to work as a team. The sessions progress handler and dog through a logical sequence of smaller games to allow practice of fundamental skills at home. Once completed, participants may enroll as a drop-in to sessions to continue to develop skills.

This class is designed for those who have the basics of Rally Obedience and are ready to go work toward their first Rally title. This 5-week session runs continually. Most choose to repeat the class multiple times until achieving Novice titles. Each session will allow dog & handler to navigate a full Novice Rally course. Video will be recorded for optional AKC virtual Rally title submission. Participants in this course will support and encourate each other at Rally trials.
This class is designed for those who have already demonstrated skills at the Rally Novice level and are ready to go to the next step.
