Scent work is a great activity for ALL dogs - from puppies to seniors; to anxious and reactive dogs to high drive dogs. It gives them a calming job to focus on and is fantastic for mental stimulation!
This two-hour workshop is an introduction to the foundations of teaching a handful of scent-related dog sports (such as scent detection, shed hunting, ratting, tracking etc). A survey will go out to students ahead of the workshop for the instructor to learn the specific interests of the participants and the workshop will be geared towards those.
Dogs will be working independently, which means they must be comfortable waiting their turn in their vehicle. Dogs that are distracted/slightly reactive to other dogs can be accommodated. If your dog is aggressive towards people this workshop is not appropriate.
