Obedience Workshop - Polishing the Pieces of the Shaped Retrieve
Does your dog pick up toys, a dumbbell, or a bumper—but struggle to consistently bring...Does your dog pick up toys, a dumbbell, or a bumper—but struggle to consistently bring it back to you or maintain a hold in front or heel position? Putting all the pieces together in a shaped retrieve is both an art and a science.
In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to strengthen, refine, and finesse each component of the retrieve. We’ll cover retrieves for sport—such as dumbbells and bumpers/ducks—as well as retrieves used in interactive games and play, including ball and tug.
All exercises will be demonstrated, giving you a clear picture of how to progress your training. Please bring plenty of small, high-value treats, a mat, and the items you’d like your dog to retrieve.
