Are you ready to take the first steps in training your dog for service or therapy work? Join our 10-week group class designed to teach foundational skills and prepare your dog for success. This class will focus on developing the skills needed to pass two AKC evaluations: Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Community Canine (CGCA). These evaluations test your dog’s ability to demonstrate good manners and reliable behavior in real-world settings. Upon passing these exams, therapy dog clients will be certified to begin visiting facilities such as schools, hospitals, and nursing homes.

• Loose-leash walking and polite greetings
• Focus and attention around distractions
• Reliable sit, down, and stay commands
• Building confidence and calm behavior in public spaces Class Details:

Important Note: While this class provides essential training and preparation, completion does not guarantee that your dog will be suited for service or therapy work. Success depends on your dog’s individual temperament, behavior, and ability to meet the required standards.
