I believe both working and pet dogs are a significant part of our family and deserve our respect.
In return, we should give them the care and boundaries they need to be well-mannered and stress-free.

This process involves gradually exposing your dog to my own, quiet sheep in a controlled environment while rewarding calm behaviour and encouraging positive associations with livestock. The goal is to help your dog learn to ignore sheep, which can reduce the likelihood of "sheep worrying" behaviours such as chasing or attacking. Please note that this training is not guaranteed to prevent your dog from chasing after running sheep. Therefore, always keep your dog on a lead near sheep. However, the training will help reduce your dog's excitement and eagerness to approach them if you accidentally come across them on a walk. The pace and end result will be tailored to you and your dog. Your dog may not come off the lead for any of the four sessions. Initially, on a short lead, you will soon progress to using a long line, and with a calm dog which has excellent engagement and recall may eventually be off lead. If your dog has previously chased sheep this is a very different scenario and we can discuss the best way for you to proceed. Your dog should be able to consistently walk on a loose, relaxed lead before attending these sessions. If they don't please attend a Loose Lead Workshop or 1-to-1 session for help. You may bring more than one dog, however, we will work with them separately. You may also come with a friend, please contact me to organise the extra person & dog
Additional sessions can be taken at the end of the 4, if you wish
The sessions should be taken as close together as possible - no more than 1 week apart and no more than 6 weeks for all four sessions
