During the course, you and your dog will:

🐾 Learn key techniques, including reading your dog’s body language, handling the line, and understanding how the environment affects scent.
🐾 Practice with step-by-step guidance from two qualified Mantrailing Global Instructors.
This course is suitable for reactive dogs, and when not actively working, we kindly ask that your dog is kept comfortable in your vehicle (with breaks for water and toileting).
Completion of the course also gives you access to the Shire Scentwork & Trailing Club with regular sessions available to build on you and your dogs trailing skills.

To get the most from this course, attendance at the online introduction session is essential. This session, held two weeks before the first class, covers odour handling and how to introduce your dog to their target odour, giving you time to begin conditioning at home before you arrive in person. Your kit box needs to be in place before this session. Without it you won't be able to start your dog on odour ahead of time, and you'll lose that valuable preparation window.
The course then runs across six weekly in-person sessions, with a longer gap built in early on to give you and your dog maximum time to consolidate before progressing. Homework between every session is expected and essential to your dog's development.

Join our Scentwork Indication Foundation Workshop, spread across two engaging evenings designed to take your dog’s indication skills to the next level. Whether you’re a complete beginner or you’ve been hitting a plateau, this workshop is perfect for you.
Over two sessions, we’ll dive into the theory behind indications, exploring the ‘how’s and why’s’ so you gain a deeper understanding of the process. Plus, with plenty of practical exercises, you’ll build confidence and skill every step of the way.
With a break between sessions, you’ll have time to consolidate your learning and get your dog ready for the next stage
Our Puppy class is a completely new approach to puppy and owner training, based on years of experience, research and incorporating systems from a number of world champion trainers. It is designed and structured around the needs of those looking to give their puppy the best possible start and owners who would like to go beyond the basics.
This is an 8 week course held outdoors with access to a video library of individual exercises, a dedicated WhatsApp group and weekly homework.

If we could help all dog owners improve their knowledge and use of two things, that would help them in almost every aspect of their dogs life, it would be Motivation and Focus.
The aim of this SIX WEEK course is to give all participants an understanding of what motivates their dog, how to use that knowledge and the relationship between a dogs motivation and achieving better focus around distractions. By increasing your dogs motivation to train and work with you, you will strengthen your bond with your dog and build your value against distractions.
Companion videos for all the individual exercises will be available and access to a WhatsApp group to keep you up to date and post videos of your progress outside of class.
This course is suitable for all dog breed of any age. Dogs from puppies to OAP's are welcome, there is no prerequisite regarding your dogs ability to sit come etc. This course is not suitable for dogs who have issues such as aggression with others dogs or people .
If you’ve ever wondered how to make training smoother, quicker, and less confusing for your dog, this workshop is for you. We’ll explore the basics of marker training over a three hour session held indoors. You’ll leave with better timing, clearer communication, and a toolbox of simple skills you can use in any type of training.
