What will Lisa do during the on-site assessment?
Photograph your dog from different angles and in any harnesses you use.
Video your dog walking on leash.
Ask questions about home environment (i.e. walking surface), current physical activities, injury history etc.
If your dog will allow, she will conduct a brief manual assessment looking for areas of inflammation and tissue restriction.
Send you home with a Galen Comfort Scale assessment questionnaire to complete over the next 5-7 days.
What will Lisa do with this information?
She will spend 2-3 hours analyzing the photographs, video, health history and comfort scale data. You will receive a summary report with recommendations.
What do I need to bring to the Myotherapy Mobility Assessment?
Flat collar and leash. This set up allows Lisa to assess your dog without the harness visually disrupting the assessment images.
If you would like feedback regarding any harnesses you use, please bring these as well. She can assess and advise on any potential issues with what you are using and make recommendations around what you could consider in your next purchase if anything different.
