Our Building Basics group class is our launching point for our Core Obedience Program. All dogs start at this level regardless of their previous training experience. However, those with foundational training can progress quickly through the appropriate levels. To graduate, students must demonstrate proficiency in the following behaviors, progressively increasing duration, distance, distraction, and diversity, and transitioning toward real-world applications as determined by the instructor: sit, down, stay, loose leash walking, come and appropriate greetings of people. All dogs must have Rabies and Bordetella (for puppies, age appropriate vaccines are accepted if they are not old enough for Rabies) and should not exhibit aggressive behavior on a leash, such as excessive barking, lunging, or snapping towards people or other dogs. If you'd like to purchase Group Class Core Obedience Package instead of paying for single sessions, please email [email protected] . Sundays classes are always at 9:00am and Wednesday classes are always at 6:30pm.

Throughout the evening, you will move through a series of exercises designed to highlight how your body language, leash handling, timing, and energy directly influence your dog’s behavior. Free to attend, with optional cash donations supporting Beacon of Light Animal Rescue encouraged.
The Social Without Interaction Night offers a different approach to socialization by shifting the focus away from play and toward calm coexistence.
