Our AKC FIT Dog courses focus on teaching canine conditioning to help build core strength, flexibility, coordination, and cardio health. While in class, you will learn proper form and safety while doing various fitness exercises to improve your dog’s balance, flexibility, stamina, and overall body fitness.
This class will benefit all canine sizes, disciplines and life stages with the emphasis on making training fun and safe for you and your dog! As a bonus, many of the exercises taught in class also double as cute crowd-pleasing tricks too!
Attending our FIT Dog six-week course makes your dog eligible for points towards their AKC FIT DOG titles too!
PLEASE NOTE: This class IS NOT for dogs in need of rehabilitation or physical therapy. This class is for healthy dogs with no significant prior injuries.
We highly recommend a Basic training foundation before enrolling in this class.
Dogs and humans must know about training using luring, capturing, and shaping and be able to focus during class.
Designed for dogs aged 6 months or older with minimal to no prior training. This class is an excellent starting point for both you and your furry friend to establish essential foundations for a well-behaved and happy dog. Follow a weekly progression, with each lesson building upon the previous one. This approach provides a logical and easy-to-follow path for both you and your dog. Starting with Marker Training, Leash Pressure, and Understanding how your dog learns, we then follow up with all the basic commands: Come, Sit, Down, Place, and Heel.
Level 1 | Puppy Obedience and General Manners $200.00
This comprehensive 5-week course designed for puppies under 5 months old, covers essential skills like basic commands (Come, Sit, Down, Place, Heel), leash handling, and addresses common behaviors such as excessive barking and jumping. The course emphasizes hand feeding, food luring, and using markers effectively, all structured to strengthen the bond with your puppy and lay a solid foundation for their behavior and obedience. Enjoy interactive lessons that conclude with social playtime, ensuring a well-rounded, enjoyable learning experience for your new pup.
Introduce your dog to the exciting world of scent work in our Level 1 class! This foundational course is perfect for beginners and focuses on teaching your dog how to identify and locate specific scents in a fun and engaging way. Whether you want a new challenge for your pup or plan to pursue scent work as a sport, this class sets the groundwork for future success! Perfect for dogs older than 6 months.
Our Level 1 Trick Dog class is the perfect starting point for you and your dog to step into the world of dog tricks. In this 5-week course, you'll learn 2 to 3 foundational tricks per class, such as shake hands, spin, and crawl. These tricks are not only fun but also serve to strengthen the bond between you and your dog. By the end of the course, you'll have the opportunity to earn your AKC Novice Trick Dog title by demonstrating your newly acquired skills either in a final live performance or through a video submission. No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and have fun!
Level 2 | AKC Canine Good Citizen Prep Class $200.00
For dogs and owners ready to take the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test, this Prep Class allows you and your dog to practice all the skills that will be assessed during the CGC Test. At the end of class all students will be given the opportunity to take the test.

Our 5-week E-Collar Essentials class is designed to support you with effectively using the e-collar as a powerful communication tool. This class goes beyond basic e-collar training, focusing on enhancing your dog’s understanding and response to your requests, even in the most distracting environments.

If you have already passed your AKC Fit Dog Level 1 assessment, then we have great news for you - you can take your fitness journey to the next level with the AKC Fit Dog Level 2 course! Welcome to Lucky Dog K9 Academy’s Doggie Day camp, where your pup will enjoy an action-packed day filled with fun, learning, and relaxation! Operating Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM, our camp provides a safe and enriching environment for dogs to stay active both mentally and physically. Each day is carefully structured with a balance of play, mental stimulation, and scheduled downtime to promote health and happiness.
With a small group size limited to just 15 dogs, we ensure personalized attention and a safe, positive experience for every camper. Flexible single-day, 3-day, and 5-day packages are available, with discounted rates for multi-day options!
