You may not register for this class otherwise.** Learn some of the handling foundation skills needed before you embark on your agility training. While the dog will be learning some basic behaviors – such as waiting on a platform or mark bucket, going through a tunnel, circling an object, and recalling to the correct side – the focus will be on developing good mechanics on the part of the handler in an effort to build clear communication and a solid working relationship between the handler and dog. We will emphasize clarity in handler/dog communications to ensure your dog is able to learn quickly and without stress. Dogs must be 6 months or older, under handler control, have a rock-solid recall, dog friendly and comfortable in a crate.
