Set you and your new puppy up for a lifetime of success with this 4 week series! Learn the basics of clicker training and essential skills like ‘leave’, ‘drop’, ‘down’ and ‘touch’. Discover effective strategies to prevent and manage unwanted behaviours such as biting, chewing, and jumping up. For puppies 8 - 20 weeks of age who have received their first round of vaccinations. Offered on Tuesdays at 5:30 PM in Whistler from September to June in the Millar Room at Myrtle Philip Community Center. Five puppies maximum per group. Required materials: clicker, treat pouch & treats, collar with ID tags and/or harness, standard 6 foot leash, water bowl and resting place (mat, towel bed or crate)
The support and skills you need to make it through the challenging teens with ease! This 4 week series covers skills such as ‘wait’, ‘settle’, ‘touch’ and ‘heel’ as well as how to strengthen these behaviours to be offered accurately around distractions and for longer periods of time. For pups 5 - 24 months of age who have received their third round of vaccinations. Offered in Whistler year round at Myrtle Philip Community Center in the Millar Room and on the outdoor sports fields. Five pups maximum per group. Materials: clicker, treat pouch & treats, collar with ID tags and/or harness, 6-15 foot leash, water bowl and resting place (mat, towel bed or crate). Prior completion of Life Skills for Dogs: Beginner or other positive reinforcement training experience is strongly recommended.
A safe, consistent, and positive environment for working on your dog's reactivity. This structured approach helps build confidence, foster calmness and create more positive feelings about being around other dogs. Also suitable for those working on socialization, leash manners and excitability. Offered in Whistler on Thursday’s at 5 PM on the Lower Myrtle Philip Sports Fields from May to October. Dogs of all sizes, ages and breeds are welcome! Required materials include a harness, flat collar, or martingale collar, 6 foot leash, treat pouch, treats and water bowl (water is available on site).
Ideal for breaking up the amount of time your young puppy is home alone. Each visit includes a short walk, enrichment, playtime and training. These visits are tailored to your pups individual needs and will leave them ready for a nap! Offered in Whistler from Emerald to Function/Cheakamus only. For puppies ages 8 to 20 weeks.

60 minute initial consultation. This session includes an in depth discussion of behavioural challenges, gathering of baseline information, goal setting, and the basics of clicker training tools & techniques. Within 24 hours of this in person session, you would receive an email containing resources, management techniques as well as a training plan outline and exercises to get you started.

Break up your pups day with a stimulating and personalized outing focused on learning skills and providing outlets for natural behaviours.
