When you enroll for an evaluation, you'll receive personalized attention and expert guidance from one of our professional dog trainers. The trainer will thoroughly assess your dog's behavior, temperament, and training needs. They will take the time to comprehend your objectives and concerns while assisting you in setting goals for your dogs training plan. Finally, your trainer will guide you through the process of determining what services best fit your needs.
An evaluation is required before scheduling any of these lessons, to ensure we’re setting you and your dog up for success. Our 1-hour private lessons offer flexibility—you can meet at the MuttSchool Training Center, your home, or another location that fits your goals. A travel fee is paid directly to your trainer for any sessions held outside the MuttSchool training center.

Mutts in Motion • 30-minute private lessons $60.00
Mutts in Motion is ideal for dogs of all ages and temperaments. This 10-lesson program uses off-leash games and patterns to teach your dog to focus and engage with you. By meeting the needs of our dogs both physically and emotionally, we can teach calm behaviors and improve impulse control. This helps dogs make better choices and think before barking and lunging at distractions.
Does your dog hesitate on new surfaces, shy away from unfamiliar objects, or seem unsure in new environments? Or maybe they’re the adventurous type, always looking for the next fun challenge! Each confidence course is built like an interactive playground filled with textures, sounds, balance work, and creative challenges. It’s safe, fun, and totally pressure-free. From puppy to seniors, cautious to the fearless, all dogs can benefit from this fun and rewarding experience!
Confidence Course | Leave and Learn is a structured drop-off program that helps dogs build confidence and independence. Dogs engage in tailored activities on our Confidence Course, addressing challenges such as unfamiliar environments, interactions with new people and dogs, handling and grooming sensitivities, and various physical obstacles. This comprehensive approach fosters resilience, alleviates anxiety, and promotes positive learning experiences.
Looking for a fun way to keep your dog active, confident, and engaged? Our Open Gym sessions give you access to our Confidence Course and treadmill room—spaces designed to build your dog’s coordination, bravery, and fitness at your own pace. These sessions are DIY-style with no formal instruction, but don’t worry—a trainer will be in the building if you have questions or need a quick tip. Whether you're helping your pup get comfortable with new sights and sounds, working on balance and body awareness, or squeezing in a treadmill workout on a busy day, Open Gym is the perfect time to practice and grow together. It is your chance to explore our Confidence Course at your own pace—no formal lessons, just fun, freedom, and enrichment! $30 each, or purchase a package and receive four additional sessions free of charge. That's 24 for $600 (only $25 each), which includes attendance at any scheduled Open Gym time with advance sign-up. Dogs must have completed Mutts in Motion, Confidence Club, or an Open Gym Orientation (or have instructor approval) before attending. A vet authorization form and current vaccines are required.
At MuttSchool, we don’t just train behaviors—we support your dog’s whole well-being. Because here’s the truth: a stressed, anxious, or unwell dog can’t learn effectively, no matter how consistent your training plan is. That’s why our MuttMind & Body sessions go beyond obedience to support the whole dog—body, mind, and spirit.
We blend a powerful mix of wellness therapies, including calming sensory work, dog-safe essential oils, and pheromones. Each session is carefully designed to regulate the nervous system, reduce stress, and help dogs feel safe, grounded, and capable of learning.
This service is especially helpful for dogs recovering from surgery or illness, those with chronic stress, reactivity, fear, anxiety, or overstimulation, and even dogs needing weight loss or fitness support. Whether your dog struggles to focus in training, panics at the vet, or doesn’t seem like themselves, we can help them feel better—and learn better.
MuttMind and Body • Reiki & Shamanic Energy Healing $60.00
At MuttSchool, we believe training a “good dog” starts with nurturing a well-balanced one. That’s why our MuttMind & Body program includes holistic energy work designed to support your dog’s emotional and physical well-being from the inside out.
Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or hands-near) energy healing practice that promotes deep relaxation, reduces stress, and helps rebalance your dog’s nervous system. It can be especially helpful for dogs experiencing anxiety, fear, physical discomfort, or trauma recovery.
Shamanic energy work goes a step deeper—helping release stuck energy, past emotional imprints, or experiences your dog may be holding onto. This non-invasive, intuitive practice can create powerful shifts in behavior and confidence, especially in dogs who’ve had a rough start or struggle with behavior blocks that traditional training can’t quite explain.
This work is especially powerful for recently rescued dogs, who may still be processing big transitions, unknown past experiences, or the emotional weight of starting over. Energy healing provides comfort, grounding, and a sense of safety—creating a foundation for healing before training even begins.
Whether your dog is recovering from surgery, adjusting to a big life change, or just needs help settling into their own skin, energy work offers a calming and restorative experience. And because your dog doesn’t have to “do” anything during a session, it’s ideal even for sensitive or overwhelmed dogs who need healing without pressure.
Sometimes, the first step to better behavior isn’t more training—it’s helping your dog feel safe enough to learn.
Mutt Mind & Body • PEMF and Red Light Therapy $60.00
Our PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) and Red Light Therapy sessions are designed to support your dog’s body at the cellular level—reducing pain, inflammation, and stress while boosting healing, relaxation, and overall well-being.
This powerful combo promotes:
🐾 Reduced anxiety and reactivity
🐾 Improved mobility and joint comfort
🐾 Enhanced cellular repair and circulation
🐾 A calmer, more focused mindset—perfect for training prep
🐾 Faster recovery from injury or surgery *
Gentle and non-invasive, these therapies help regulate the nervous system, support vagus nerve function, and create the ideal internal state for your dog to learn, move, and feel their best.
*veterinary referral
MuttMind & Body • Treadmill & Canine Fitness $60.00
When dogs struggle with behavior, we don’t just ask what they’re doing—we ask why. Often, the answer lies in their body. Just like people, dogs need healthy movement, balanced energy, and physical confidence to feel and function their best.
Our MuttMind & Body fitness sessions are designed to do exactly that.
Using our professional canine treadmill and fitness equipment, we gently guide your dog through structured movement exercises that build physical strength, improve focus, and support emotional regulation. Whether it’s walking on the treadmill, balancing on platforms, or learning how to move through a carefully designed course, your dog will gain body awareness, confidence, and a sense of accomplishment.
This is not a high-intensity workout—it’s mindful movement with purpose.
These sessions are especially helpful for:
Dogs recovering from injury, surgery, or medical treatment
Dogs who are overweight or under-conditioned
High-energy dogs who need a productive outlet
Reactive, anxious, or overstimulated dogs learning to regulate and focus
Puppies and seniors working on coordination, balance, and confidence
Every session is tailored to your dog’s needs. Our goal is not just a well-behaved dog, but a well dog—one who feels strong, safe, and ready to learn.
GROUP CLASS • PUPPY JUVENILE JUMPSTART (ages 15 weeks to 6 months) $180.00
JUVENILE JUMPSTART is a 6-week group class for puppies OVER 15 weeks of age BUT less than 6 months. This puppy-friendly class covers the same essential skills as our Foundations: First Grade class, but is designed just for dogs under 6 months of age. Your pup will learn foundational manners and training cues in a developmentally appropriate way—with added playtime to help them build confidence and social skills in a safe, structured environment.
GROUP CLASS • PUPPY PRESCHOOL (ages 8-14 weeks) $180.00
Puppy Preschool is a 6-week class for puppies under 15 weeks of age. In this series of classes you will work on building a lasting bond and how to communicate with your puppy. This course also addresses socialization, preventing common problem behaviors, building a strong training foundation for your puppy’s future, as well as developing essential obedience skills that will last a lifetime. Prerequisite: Any puppy between 8 and 14 weeks can join. To ensure your puppy’s immunity, we ask that you wait ten days after your puppy has its first set of vaccinations (usually around 8 or 9 weeks old) to start.
Skip the stress and frustration by laying a solid foundation with our Puppy Success Start program—designed to prevent future headaches, address behavior early, and ensure you can just enjoy your puppy. We do the work; you get the rewards.
Success Start is MuttSchool’s 12-week kindergarten program for puppies under 9 months. Drop your puppy off between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Throughout the 36 sessions, your puppy will benefit from personalized training in manners, house skills, and confidence-building activities. Behaviors taught:
Sit
Down
Come/touch
Stay on top of a "station"
Leave it
Walk with me
Wait at all gates, doors and bowls
In addition to training behaviors like sit, down, stand and walking nicely on leash, First Grade teaches your dog how much fun it can be to work for you as we lay the foundation to learning more advanced training skills. In First Grade, we focus on establishing lines of communication between you and your dog. You will learn about dog body language and how to change challenging behaviors that are happening at home. You may be surprised at how readily your dog will want to learn new things.
Prerequisite: Evaluation or Instructor permission to enroll.
When you book a private lesson, that time is reserved just for you. If you cancel late or don’t show up, your trainer still gets paid for that time—because they were ready and waiting for your appointment. If you reschedule, they’re also paid for the new lesson. That means your original payment ends up covering two separate times, which leaves nothing left to keep the business running. While your trainer is taken care of (and we’re glad for that!), it’s hard on a small business when this happens. But now, instead of losing your lesson, you can keep your progress on track and reschedule for just $30!
*Good for any 30-minute private lesson such as Tutor Train, Mutts in Motion, or Confidence Club.
REBOOK • Evaluation or 60-minute private lesson • $50 $50.00
