Fear of Missing out( FOMO)! Mine! Give me now! If this sounds familiar, you may have a Big Feelings Puppy. We love dogs with Big Feelings, and we also know they can be challenging and frustrating without the right expectations, tools, and clear communication. In this 60 - 90 minute interactive virtual workshop we teach you how to triage life skills, focus on preventing FOMO, tackle tantrums, and lay the foundation for cooperative and clear communication.
Dogs should be 1 year or less to participate.
The format will be short sessions of instruction followed by working with your dog while getting real-time feedback. After the workshop participants will be invited to join a private Facebook group where they can post videos for feedback. There will be a 30-minute live Question and Answer session 2 weeks after the workshop.
2 hour virtual Intake and Assessment.
The intake and assessment allows us to get a history, identify your goals, and identify the best protocols and techniques for your situation, lifestyle, budget, and learning style. The last 15 to 30 minutes of our virtual Zoom call, we start training foundations.
Born from the proposed 2021 Oklahoma legislation to enact a Big Foot hunting season and our love of canine scent work, Tracking Big Foot or Searching for Sasquatch has been a much loved idea for years here at NonStop Dog. We combine lessons on article indication, footstep tracking, trailing, and area searches in a 6 week course with a playful cryptid narrative to give dog-handler teams of all ages and abilities a fun and engaging way to try a new and enriching activity together. Scent work is great, low impact exercise suitable for puppies and seniors alike.
We will meet once per week for an hour at different green spaces/parks around the Tulsa area.
No special supplies are required for class, however a 10-20’ long line (leash) is encouraged for use while actively working the track. Links to recommended vendors can be found on the main website NonStopDog.com.
Dogs should be tolerant of neutral people and other dogs.
Dogs will remain on leash for the class and should be kept within 3-4’ of their handler while not working a track.
Tracking is a wonderful activity for all dogs—young, old, fearful, reactive, overly enthusiastic, etc. Teams are expected to give each other space while listening to instruction, working, and airing their dogs.
While based on a continuation of PreSports Puppy, it is not necessarily a prerequisite. Built from the need I see coaching private training clients who would have benefited from early intervention. We continue to focus on giving clarity to the path to reinforcement, mechanics, reliability under distraction, and proper exercise/decompression. A fast paced classed that matches the teen attention span--toy play, arousal mobility, using food correctly, engagement, and handler confidence in navigating real world setups.
