Sunshine Coast-based Dog Trainer and Consultant Charlotte Bryan, owner of Paws, Claws & Tails, offers dog training and behaviour support, specialising in reactivity and self-trained assistance dog preparation.
Pathway To Assistance Dog Program (Initial Assessment) $385.00
Duration: 50 minutes
Price: $385 (incl. GST)
Location: Cotton Tree, Mooloolaba, Pet Friendly Store (eg Bunnings)
This initial session is the first step in the Pathway to Assistance Dog Program — a structured training pathway designed to support NDIS participants in training their own assistance dog.
During the 50-minute consult, Charlotte conducts a suitability assessment of both dog and handler, discussing key goals, environment, task potential, and behavioural foundations. This session helps determine whether the dog is a suitable candidate for assistance work and outlines the next steps for training.
Includes:
– 50-minute in-person consultation
– Assessment of dog’s current behaviour, health, and temperament
– Discussion of functional goals and task suitability
– Handler confidence and support network review
– Formal written Intake & Suitability Report (delivered within 3–5 business days)
Please note: Participation in this program does not grant public access rights or signify certification. Dogs are referred to an authorised assessor for a Public Access Test (PAT) when ready. Paws Claws Tails is not a registered NDIS provider, but supports self-managed and plan-managed participants. This program is designed to aid participants in preparing their own dog for the PAT.
