Covers the concepts of how dogs learn, addressing undesirable behaviors, exercise and enrichment needs, marker training, choice, and decompression/relaxation exercises. Basic skills include sit, down, coming when called, wait/stay, leave it, drop it/trade, go to bed, targeting, loose leash walking, attention, and polite greetings. Class includes an orientation without dogs followed by 7 classes with dogs. This class is NOT appropriate for dogs who are reactive to people/dogs or anxious. Class size is limited to 6 teams. Note that classes run once a minimum of 3 students have enrolled. If the minimum hasn’t been met by 48 hours prior to the start of class, we reserve the right to push the start date (and subsequent classes) back by one week. If we need to cancel the class for any reason, you will receive a credit for a future class, or you can request a refund minus processing fees if you paid by credit card.
