We will go at the classes pace and teach as much as possible each lesson. Please bring dog hungry to class, with soft bite size treats with a 4ft leash (no flexi leashes) and regular buckle or Martingale collar. If other training collars are needed they will be suggested by instructor.
If your dog already dock jumps or you have taken the intro class, and have been cleared by your instructor, then this is the class for you. All dogs are required to jump from the dock. We will work on increasing distance, toy throwing, and how to build a higher toy drive. You and your dog must complete the Beginner Dock Diving class as a group or privately. Please bring your dog's own floating toy. This is a single 90 minute class.
In this introductory single 60-minute session, you and your dog can try the exciting sport of dog dock jumping. Your dog must have passed Intro to swim class. or completed a swim test showing they can go off the ramp to retrieve a toy a short distance to enroll. Please wear clothes and shoes that can get very wet and bring your dog's own toy that will float in water.
Class covers, but is not limited to, the following material:

"On your bed" (go to your place and stay)
Introduction to "heel"
Introduction to "back up"

Not all dogs are natural born water lovers. This class will safely introduce your dog to water and build confidence in swimming. This class is required to participate in our Group Dock Diving classes and private rental of the dock and pool. One handler per dog enrolled is required. Please bring towels, a toy your dog loves, and clothes/shoes you don't mind getting wet. Handlers must be 12 years of age or older and responsible and strong enough to be in control of their dog for the entirety of the session. 4 dog maximum per class. Absolutely no children under 12 allowed during lesson times.

This three hour class is for dogs that are strong swimmers and are actively jumping off the dock or the ramp. If your dog has not jumped off the dock or the ramp yet on it's own you will need to attend intro to swim sessions until your dog's confidence in the water improves. Each dog will get 3 minutes on the dock and we will go through 3-5 rotations depending on the amount of dogs in attendance. We encourage you to bring a lawn chair, sunscreen, and drinking water for your time waiting for your time on the dock. Additional dogs from same family are $15 and you can pay upon arrival.
Absolutely no children under 12 allowed at Open Dock.
Work with an instructor one on one to improve throwing skills, jump distance, and timing. This class requires a dog that is a confident swimmer and is all ready jumping off the ramp or dock. Only two handlers allowed at each private session. Handlers must be 12 years of age or older and able to be in control of their dog at all dogs. Absolutely no children under 12 allowed during lesson times.
If your dog is all ready a confident swimmer or dock diver, a swim test is required to enroll in Open Dock, Dock Diving Classes, and for Private Rentals, In this test we want to see that the dog can confidently enter and exit the water without human intervention, and that your dog is a strong swimmer without a life jacket.
Celebrate your dogs birthday or gotcha day at The Puddle! This rental is for up to 10 pups and you will have access to our fenced in yard and dock diving pool for 2 hours. Every pup must complete a $15 swim test before getting in the pool which can be completed before the rental or during. Everyone present will need to sign a waiver before. We will provide party supplies and a dog cake for an additional $100.
