This UKI Invitational Prep Workshop is designed for teams preparing for high-level UKI competition—or for those who want to develop the skills and strategy required for UKI-style courses, even if they are not attending the Invitational.
Participants will split their time between two focused training tracks:
Skills & Testing (with Jordan Biggs):
Build and test the technical skills commonly required in UKI coursework, including independence, commitment, and precision. Exercises will focus on strengthening foundations and identifying areas to polish before competition.
Coursework & Strategy (with Hana Spitz):
Work through full UKI-style sequences and courses with an emphasis on course analysis, handling choices, and competitive strategy. Learn how to approach courses efficiently and confidently in a trial setting.
This workshop offers a balanced mix of skill development and real-world coursework, making it ideal for teams aiming to sharpen performance, improve decision-making, and gain confidence in UKI courses.
Not attending the UKI Invitational?
You’re still welcome—this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to improve their UKI skills, prepare for future events, or deepen their understanding of UKI-style challenges.
Ideal for: UKI competitors or teams training at the Open/Championship level who want focused prep, thoughtful feedback, and competition-ready strategies.
🔥 Independent Obstacle Commitment — Agility Workshop
Want your dog to stay on their line without needing you right next to them? This workshop is all about building true independence so you can get where you need to be on course while your dog confidently drives ahead.
In this workshop, we’ll focus on:
✅ Strengthening commitment to jumps, tunnels, and more
✅ Teaching your dog to hold the line even when you move away
✅ Building distance, lateral motion, and forward drive
✅ Proofing against motion pressure and handler distractions
✅ Setting up challenges that build trust and clarity
Through targeted drills and short sequences, your dog will learn to lock onto obstacles and complete them without second-guessing—giving you the freedom to get ahead, cue next lines sooner, and run smarter, not harder.
Perfect for dogs who:
• Pull off obstacles when the handler moves away
• Struggle with distance challenges
• Lose focus when pressure or motion changes
• Need stronger drive and clarity on course
Build confidence, increase speed, and unlock a whole new level of teamwork with true obstacle commitment.
