Is your dog easily distracted by the world around them? Do they only pay attention when there is a treat in your hand? This is a one-hour workshop introducing a variety of exercises used to encourage attention and eye contact as well as getting rewards off of your person. Please bring a sturdy, chew-resistant container/treat pouch that closes completely along with at least 2 cups of food rewards (in the container/pouch) and a mat/bed for your dog to lay on.

If trimming your dog’s nails is like restraining a rabid coyote, or bringing your dog to the vet feels akin to entering a war zone, this workshop is for you. Topics include an introduction to the concept of cooperative care, how to desensitize your dog to nail trimmers, cones, etc., and recognizing and reducing distress.
