You may feel embarrassed by your dog’s behavior, or you may be afraid of your dog’s reaction to new circumstances.
In this five lesson course you will learn to help your dog focus on you instead of barking at other dogs or items they think are exciting, threatening, or scary. Reactive Rover class is here to help you lose that anxious feeling and identify ways to improve your dog’s behavior in the presence of triggers. Reactive Rover will focus on reducing anxiety, building coping skills, and improving behavior when on-leash and in the presence of these triggers. This course will also help to increase handler skills and confidence.
*** If your dog is aggressive towards humans, or has bitten a human or an animal, please contact us prior to enrolling in a class.
**The first class is a MANDATORY Orientation without your dog. The first class meeting will cover Orientation. We will talk about how dogs think and learn, how to know what your dog's favorite teats are, and a few exercises will be assigned as homework to prepare your dog for class. We need your undivided attention, so dog's do not attend this first class meeting.
