Designed for safe and pleasant exposure to new things including other puppies, people, surfaces, objects, grooming tools & walking equipment. Puppies attend all sessions. Learn to use movement and position games to balance your dog's reinforcement for the environment they are in and improve this valuable skill.

5-week class, 45-60 minute sessions. Starts Monday, 6/30 @ 6:30pm. Wk. 1 focuses on foundation skills for humans only- no dogs in class this day.This class will teach you and your dog how to communicate while learning new things.
Skills covered: canine body language, proper training mechanics, stationing (Settle), targeting (Touch), duration (Stay), and more!
5-week class, 45-60 minute sessions. Starts Thursday, 6/26 @ 6pm. Week 1 focuses on foundation skills for humans only- no dogs in class this day. Building on the foundation skills your dog has, this class is held outdoors and is specifically aimed at success around distractions.
Targeted skills include Come, Stay, Leash Walking & calm around other dogs and people
4-week class, 45-60 minute sessions. Starts Sunday, 6/15 @ 9am. Dogs attend all sessions. Socialization skills and practice for the reactive dog. Initial Consultation Required.
Summer School is a shorter version of Growler's Gathering to accommodate busy summer schedules!
This class is specifically designed to prepare dogs for other group classes or public access in general. Emphasis is placed on making space for the dogs to make their own good choices.
Monday, 6/16 @ 10:30am. Also known as "Urban Agility", Parkour is a great activity to play with your dog. Obstacles for climbing on, under, & around can be found everywhere in the environment; simple foundation skills are all you need to start getting creative! Thoughtfulness and control are prioritized over speed, making this a safe and fun sport for dogs and handlers of all ages & skill levels.

Improve your dog's polite greetings in this fun and interactive workshop. We will cover calm and well-mannered greetings with both people and dogs. *All classes utilize food and toy rewards. Bring your dog's favorites!
Tues., 6/24 @ 6pm. Learn and implement patterns and skills to help your dog settle in one spot more quickly and for longer. Please bring a size-appropriate (big enough for your dog's whole body with some wiggle room) mat/towel/blanket/cot for your dog to practice with.

Thursday, 5/15 @ 6:30pm. Gain tools to apply in your Out & About! group walks! Protocols around common themes include: calming down, greeting people, accessing smells, and greeting dogs will be taught using clicker training and the Premack principle. Not appropriate for fearful or reactive dogs. *All classes utilize food and toy rewards. Bring your dog's favorites!
Held most Thursdays @ 5:30pm. Enjoy weekly opportunities to practice our version of a Pack Walk geared towards reactive dogs. We utilize rehearsed protocols and predictable outcomes to enhance your dog’s social skills.
All dogs must have completed the Growler's Gathering class or are currently enrolled in one to participate.
INSTRUCTOR APPROVAL REQUIRED. Morning and afternoon times available. Utilize public parks & locations to practice known skills around dogs & people with the goal of staying calm and comfortable. Handlers may choose to use long lines or standard 6' leashes.

INSTRUCTOR APPROVAL REQUIRED. Held most Fridays at 9am. A group buddy walk amongst the trees! Dogs will stay on leashes (long lines up to 20' are welcome) unless safe situations suggest we can do otherwise. Trails are mixed graveled logging roads & Forest Service roads with some, though not much, incline. Light hiking boots with ankle support are recommended.
