In-person evaluations are critical in deciding the training plan that is right for you, your dog, and any aspired skills. Our first hour together is filled with first impressions. You and your dog will learn all there is to know about me and my training style while I evaluate their current skills, your handling abilities, and your relationship together as a team. At the close of the evaluation a training plan will be recommended and discussed, encompassing both initial training desires and my findings upon evaluation to set your companion up for educational success! *Morning lessons available upon request*

For dogs who tend to cling to their owners, some time away to build confidence and a new relationship can be an incredible motivator! Dogs who hide true talents in the shadow of their owners' shelter can thrive as I let them set the pace and display their true personality with the bravery boost of new experiences. Even owners and dogs who do very well in private lessons yet lack the same outcomes during practice can benefit from tutoring by sending their dog for a one-on-one lesson with their trainer. No matter the circumstance, you can be sure that your dog will be well taken care of, treated with care, and set up for success throughout our individual lesson together.

$200.00Summer School 101 is designed for dogs and handlers who are new to training in public environments or who would benefit from a slower-paced, supportive learning experience with other similarly paced peers. Over the course of 8 weeks, we will visit a variety of dog-friendly locations throughout southeastern Connecticut while building the foundation skills necessary for success in everyday life. This class focuses heavily on engagement, neutrality, leash manners, boundary setting, confidence building, and learning how to observe distractions calmly and successfully. Whether your goal is a dog that can accompany you to local parks, outdoor events, pet-friendly stores, or simply enjoy everyday outings with less stress, Summer School 101 will help you build the skills needed to get there. Each week you will receive an email regarding each classes location details, allowing dogs to gain valuable experience in new environments while receiving hands-on coaching and support. Locations throughout the session may include local parks, hiking trails, outdoor shopping areas, and pet-friendly businesses such as Bluff Point State Park, Washington Park, Mystic Village, Poquonnock Plains Park, Sheep Farm, Mystic River Park, Haley Farm, and Tractor Supply (Waterford, CT). Location details for the following week's class will be provided after each session. Suitable for dogs 6 months and older. No prior training experience is required.

This class focuses on realistically applying obedience skills, engagement, and overall life skills in increasingly challenging environments while working alongside other training teams with similar goals. Over 8 weeks, participants will travel to a variety of locations throughout southeastern Connecticut to practice reliability around distractions, improve handler communication, and build confidence in new settings. Rather than teaching basic cues, Summer School 201 emphasizes putting those skills into action through structured exercises and real-life scenarios. We will visit parks, hiking trails, outdoor shopping areas, waterfront locations, and pet-friendly businesses such as Bluff Point State Park, Washington Park, Mystic Village, Poquonnock Plains Park, Sheep Farm, Mystic River Park, Haley Farm, and Tractor Supply. Through a series of handling exercises, we’ll work on loose leash walking, creating reliable exit plans for the unexpected, and navigating shared spaces confidently with your dog. - We’ll dedicate time to confidence-building activities, both physical and mental, designed to empower your pup and strengthen your personal relationship. - You’ll gain exposure to a variety of people, dogs, and environments, all while learning relaxation and coping protocols when big feeling arise. - And through it all, we’ll highlight engagement techniques, helping your dog build focus in distracting settings, and how to introduce trigger interruptions. Nature & Nurture is a drop-in group socialization class designed for all clients working on expanding their foundational training as well as those who are continuing to work through their dog’s varying reactivity. Whether your dog struggles with other dogs, people, noises, or overstimulation in public settings, this class provides a structured, supportive environment to practice safe and supportive neutrality progress. Nature & Nurture offers a flexible and affordable way to maintain momentum in your dog’s behavioral growth.
