Handlers under 18 only — adult accompaniment required
Our Junior Handler Basic Manners Class is designed specifically for young dog handlers who want to learn how to work with their dog in a fun, supportive, and age-appropriate environment.
This class follows the structure and goals of our Basic Manners program, but is thoughtfully adapted to meet the needs, learning styles, and pace of younger students. Lessons are broken down into clear, achievable steps with plenty of hands-on practice and encouragement.
What we’ll focus on:
Building strong communication between junior handlers and their dogs
Teaching foundational manners such as sit, down, coming when called, leash skills, and polite greetings
Understanding dog body language and how to recognize when a dog is comfortable or needs space
Practicing safe handling skills and respectful interactions
Developing confidence, responsibility, and teamwork
Learning at a pace that supports success for all learners.
An adult must attend alongside the junior handler to support learning, safety, and carryover at home. This class is ideal for kids who want to be more involved in training, build confidence with their dog, and learn how to work as a team—while keeping sessions positive, engaging, and pressure-free.
