Through this class you'll participate in collective owner training, where we’ll focus on communication techniques, safety protocols, and how to successfully advocate for your dog in the real world. Through a series of handling exercises, we’ll work on loose leash walking, creating reliable exit plans for the unexpected, and navigating shared spaces confidently with your dog. - We’ll dedicate time to confidence-building activities, both physical and mental, designed to empower your pup and strengthen your personal relationship. - You’ll gain exposure to a variety of people, dogs, and environments, all while learning relaxation and coping protocols when big feeling arise. - And through it all, we’ll highlight engagement techniques, helping your dog build focus in distracting settings, and how to introduce trigger interruptions. Nature & Nurture is a drop-in group socialization class designed for all clients working on expanding their foundational training as well as those who are continuing to work through their dog’s varying reactivity. Whether your dog struggles with other dogs, people, noises, or overstimulation in public settings, this class provides a structured, supportive environment to practice safe and supportive neutrality progress. Nature & Nurture offers a flexible and affordable way to maintain momentum in your dog’s behavioral growth. This is a “drop-in” style class, you’re welcome to attend as often as you’d like, every week, once a month, or simply as your schedule allows. ***While regular participation will help you and your dog advance more steadily***, I understand that consistency looks different for every household. These classes are some of my favorites to teach, as they allow us to address real-world behavior in real-time, without pressure, and always at your dog’s pace. While foundational training focuses on building trust and language, here we will expand emotional regulation, responsiveness, and confidence in more complex environments than the backyard. We’ll focus on building positive experiences and associations, increasing handler-dog communication, and developing practical tools for navigating common triggers. My goal is always to help both you and your dog feel more empowered, confident, and connected in everyday life. Whether you’re looking to reinforce the work you’ve already done or take the next step in managing reactivity, this class is here to support your journey.
